You have chosen to spend a few days in the heart of Burgundy and stay in our guest house. To make your stay unforgettable, we offer many services in connection with our partners as well as ideas for outings, cultural and sports. Follow the guide!
COVID-19 : Tastings are currently suspended until further notice, according to government guidelines.
In our 18th century cellar, we offer “board / meal / tasting” evenings in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere; with 5 carefully selected family wines from Burgundy, and a board with cold meats, cheeses and dessert.
This service is reserved exclusively for guests over 18 and staying at La Maison Rouge.
The wines we offer are made by passionate winegrowers, close to us, and who know how to express their terroir. We will explain to you in a simple and interactive way the Burgundy vineyard, its history, the grape varieties, the climates, the appellations, etc…
Example of board / meal / tasting (about 30 cl):
- 2 glasses of Burgundy regional designation
- 1 glass of Bourgogne Village
- 2 glasses of Bourgogne 1er Cru
- Cold cuts, 3 cheeses, Dessert, Bread
Tastings are organized by reservation, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., subject to a minimum of 4 people and our availability.
If you wish to extend the evening, the cellar welcomes you with free access.
We have a list of local wines, sold by the bottle and to take away.
Alcohol abuse is dangerous for health.
For your well-being and your peace of mind, we provide you with:
- 1 closed and secure car park
- 1 shed for your bikes or motorcycles
- 1 cellar to store your wine during your stay
- 1 fridge dedicated to guests
- hot drinks offered and available
- free wifi internet access
- air conditioning in guest rooms and cottages
- 10m x 5m secure swimming pool, depth 1.60m with relaxation area, deckchairs, shaded terrace, and all garden furniture (towels not provided)
You can buy drinks to take away on site: sodas, beers, wines.
On reservation, we prepare cold meal platters (mixed salad, cold meats, cheese, dessert) to eat on site or picnics (mixed salad, cheese, dessert, water) to take away. Wines and drinks are sold separately.
The cellar is freely accessible for your evenings, subject to availability. COVID-19 : Actualy not available.
You can enjoy the “Campaign Café” during sunshine period : a covered and furnished space with table and barbecue for convivial moments.
By reservation, Alyette, a well-being practitioner, offers you a tonic or relaxing massage.
We can advise you on a taxi service in collaboration with www.taxi-beaune.com.
You can also rent bicycles with www.bourgogne-randonnees.fr.
We have horse boxes, and offer a nightly pension in straw boxing, water, hay, shower, saddlery.
Heritage & discoveries
Burgundy around the Pays Beaunois is full of sites to visit, castles to discover, and a variety of activities. In addition to the seasonal festivities, come and immerse yourself in this region rich in heritage and history, in a natural and serene atmosphere. Discover the Climats of Burgundy classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site..
You can visit the famous world-famous Hospices, the Fallot family mustard factory, or the 5 km of Patriarche cellars. A walk on the city walls is a must to discover hidden corners. On Saturday mornings, stroll through the typical and colorful Beaune market, under the hall and in front of the Hospices, where many local producers offer their best products.
In the Côte de Beaune
The Route des Grands Crus will take you through all the wine-growing villages: Pommard, Volnay, Auxey Durresses, Meursault, Monthelie, Chassagne Montrachet, etc… Climb the cliffs of Saint Romain to discover a view of the breathtaking vineyard.
In Côte de Nuits
The other direction of the Route des Grands Crus between Beaune and Dijon will take you through other evocative great names such as Nuits Saint Georges, Vougeot and its famous castle, Vosnes Romanée, Chambolle Musigny, etc…
A little further
Visit the city center of Dijon by following the “route de la Chouette“, discover the Morvan near its wild forests and the ancient city of Autun, the Jura and its lakes are a hundred kilometers away for a total change of scenery. Other wonders are to be seen such as the medieval castle of Châteauneuf en Auxois, the castle of Cormatin, Sully, the royal saltworks of Arc et Senans, the Abbey of Cluny, etc….
